Understand the patterns and
experiences that shaped you.
Maybe you're tired of overthinking, second guessing yourself, trying to keep everyone happy, or feeling like you're never quite doing enough. Therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from and begin finding new ways forward.
Therapy shouldn't feel like another place you have to perform
Welcome, I’m Lauren!
I know how intimidating it can feel to sit down with a therapist and suddenly be expected to talk about the most personal and vulnerable parts of your life. That's why one of the most important things to me is that therapy feels comfortable and human.
You don't need to have the right words, know exactly what you want to work on, or show up as the most put together version of yourself. My style is warm, conversational and collaborative, with room for humour, and honesty.
A lot of the people I work with are really good at being there for everyone else, but have a much harder time extending that same understanding to themselves. Together, we can start making sense of where your patterns came from, what they're protecting, and what you want to carry forward differently.
Maybe you're here because something keeps feeling harder than it should.
You might be someone who thinks deeply, cares deeply, and has gotten very good at holding things together, even when it doesn't always feel that way on the inside.
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong or have the right words for what you're experiencing before coming to therapy.
Maybe some of this feels familiar.
You replay conversations, second guess yourself, or spend a lot of time wondering what other people are thinking or feeling.
You find yourself putting other people's needs first, avoiding conflict, or feeling responsible for keeping everyone around you happy.
Your relationships matter deeply to you, but they can also bring up anxiety, uncertainty, or fears about being too much, or not enough.
You're hard on yourself, hold yourself to high standards, or struggle to feel confident in who you are and what you need.
Or maybe you can't quite name it yet. That's okay too.
Therapy can be a place to start figuring it out together.
